Hawkathon

We are looking for a fantastic volunteer to organize the 2019-2020 school year Hawk-a-thon!

The possibilities for this event are endless. Keep it like last year (see below) or take it and make it your own!

Patwin's 14th Annual Walkathon ("Hawkathon") is planned for Saturday, November 3, 9am-12pm, rain or shine! This Hawkathon is a special one, because we will be honoring Patwin's beloved custodian Feliks Krupa, who will retire in November. ALL Patwin students, families, friends, teachers, and staff are welcome.

EXERCISE!

The Walkathon Course is a short loop around the Patwin field, and participants can walk as many times as they want. This year, we will also offer an obstacle course!

FUN!

Walkathon includes activities, entertainment, Henry the Hawk, music, and friends! Henry will kick off the walk at 9am. Participants who meet the participation goal of $25 (by October 19) will receive a Walkathon T-Shirt, but everyone is welcome to walk and have fun!

CAKE!

A favorite tradition of Walkathon is the Cake Walk! Cake Walk tickets will be sold the day of the Walkathon, available to all attendees. One ticket gives you one chance to win one of many fabulous cakes. TO DONATE A CAKE, please plan to deliver your entry to Patwin on Friday afternoon, November 2. More information will be available soon for cake bakers, so stay tuned. Cakes of all varieties and statures are welcome. As always, awards will be given to outstanding cakes, from the sweetly superlative to the flagrantly foul!

FELIKS!

In honor of Feliks' retirement, we will take a moment during Walkathon to dedicate the honorary Feliks bench, a gift from the Patwin community. Please join us!

Please return your Walkathon registration form with all money and checks collected, and your waiver, to the Walkathon box in the Patwin office, by October 19, 2018. Forms received after October 19 will not receive a Walkathon t-shirt.

If you would like to request a Walkathon registration scholarship for your child, please contact Sarah Rabin at sarahrabin@gmail.com. The Walkathon Committee is dedicated to allowing every Patwin student to participate in Walkathon.

Your Walkathon registration donation is tax deductible!

Thank you for supporting Patwin! Any funds raised by Walkathon go to the PTA to support programs and activities for the Patwin community.
